O-Fin Surfer Feedback
Discover what surfers are saying about the O-Fin from Space Coast Fins. From beginners catching their first waves to experienced surfers pushing their limits, see how the O-Fin is providing new feels and a fun new ride.
Finless "Alaia" Feel
"I observed a very easy, almost fin-less feeling while performing the 180 turn to position the board for wave catching. Once at speed, I enjoyed the feeling of having the rail of the board engaged, rather than the fin, this made my board feel more responsive. That feeling of the rail of the board and not the fin was real pleasant, in a way it felt like surfing an Alaia: fast and finless, yet with the ease of surfing while having fun.
Gives New Option to Old Board
For the surfer who, like me, has ridden the same board for years as part of a multiple board quiver, they might find an "extra" board they didn't know they already had by riding this fin during any other normal, average Florida day.
Amps the Fun in Average Conditions
I found my board allowed me to have more fun than I otherwise would have had on a usually not exciting, waist high waves!"
- Xavier G, Intermediate to Advanced SurferBetter and Faster Lift Paddling to Takeoff, Helped Trouble Spots
"I installed the O-Fin on my 9'6 Quiet Flight replacing the 9-inch standard fin. I got better and faster lift paddling to takeoff. I always have an issue trying to turn right, and it was a good right, and I went through it a couple times and got it very simply. We put it on a buddy of mine's board and he loved it so it's a winner."- Rich D, Intermediate Surfer
Smoother, Quicker Turns with more Control at Lower Speeds
"As I am on my journey, learning this art and beautiful world of surfing I am right around two years into my journey so take this review with a grain of salt and a smile. What I do notice about the new fin is the takeoff. It's a little smoother and just a bit quicker. I noticed that lower speed you have more control over the board, you are able to turn on the ankle biters and knee biters that plague Florida's East Coast during the summer. While at lower speeds the turns are much quicker and a little smoother, it doesn't jerk as hard and you don't make such right or left angles. It's more of a glide."- Longboard GromSurfing with the O-Fin on East Coast of Florida
"Down the line it behaves like a regular fin, but it allows for a little slip when turning and A LOT of slip if you stall and then turn. Can't tell if it's more for riding the front half of the board, but seemed to do well there. So, I'm a believer."- Mike N, Advanced Surfer"It can snap pretty well. It's a different feeling it gives your board."- Ethan, Longboard Surfer
"It surfed surprisingly good."- Randy R, Advanced Surfer
